When storing resources in containers, you usually don't remember the maximum incoming flow rate (ie x items/per minute) which upstream can generate. You have to recalculate this if you want to send stuff downstream from it, going all the chain upstream.
It would be really useful to have signs on containers (yep, it is related to https://questions.satisfactorygame.com/4127/add-the-possibility-to-name-storage-container-or-place-signs ), but may be specialized, not neccessary visible from a far, like general naming.
Next level of usefulness would be if the numbers could be calculated automatically (somewhat similar to power graphs - maximum and current productivity upstream). While this may be complex if we allow loops, may be with limited depth...
