what's the point of having a gas mask if when i'm inside the car i take damage? i died extremely far from the base because of this shit

FWIW, you can restore from the last auto save. I believe I read that the game is saved every 5 minutes. So you don't loose much progress.  

Regarding the bug. This has been mentioned many times before. I would recommend searching the previous posts and upvoting one of the popular ones. It helps the devs find the issues with the most feedback and votes and work on those as a priority. Otherwise your complaint is likely to get lost in the sea of comments.

as i visit very little the site so i have never seen related comments, but thanks, i'll go back to save
