Unable to pick up beacon while holding beacons

Has anyone else had this issue? I've been planning my way around to Oil with beacons to find my way back. I can't seem to pick up beacons while holding another beacon in my hand. Once I switch to my basher, it works just fine.

I'm usually holding a stack of around 50 beacons while experiencing this problem.

August 28th update: We've removed downvotes!
