When buildings lose power or a power-line is cut, it is hard to follow what is powered and what is not.

I think it would be helpful when selecting the Power Line or Power-Pole to high-light the power-lines/power poles in green where they are getting power and high-light the power lines/power poles in red that are not.

From a UI standpoint its hard to track down which wire or pole may be missing, its even harder because the wire is black and easily is lost amongst the buildings and background.

Each building has a "Status Light Pole". The flashing red ones don't have power. This is already implemented in-game.
