It would be quite nice if splitters and mergers would *snap* when being placed on conveyor belts.

Snap to the same positions that they would as if they were being built straight on top of foundations - while still being aligned to the belt:

You guys seeing something different?

I think 7Rickus means that in addition to snapping to the belt, which works well currently, that it should also be possible to line up the splitter, using the blue snap to lines, with the machines input. This would then allow for a straight conveyor belt to connect between the splitter and the input. Currently you have to guess when it looks straight. I would like this also.

Oh I misread 7Rickus' comment, yeah I'm all for that.

If you stand with the machine input/output behind you and look down when holding the splitter , you get a blue line showing the middle point of the machines in/out point , just look up at that point and it stays (unless you look up high, but by then you're already in line) pretty much.

So we now allow you to upvote what you like, or ignore what you don't. Points have also been adjusted to account for this change.
Please use the search function before posting a new question and upvote existing ones to bring more attention to them, It will help us a lot. <3
