Smart splitters be used as SMART SPLITTERS instead of sorters

I would Love to see the smart splitters with a smart split option right now they are used more like a sorter, but I would love to have option with a value:  like left steal pipe 4, right steal pipe 1, center steal pipe 0, and basically the 0 indicates both sides are not moving send this way.  and the values be used to split 4 left and 1 right and if both sides full move down middle this would go a long way to prevent belt jamming.  Some machines use more of a material than others so it would be nice to do this instead of splitting it and then splitting again then merging back to the original direction to get a 3 to 1 ratio.

I thought the smart or programmable splitters could be used to sort different materials from one convay (e.g. plastic and rots). But the smart splitters are not fit for this job. If one of these two materials is jammed, the other is also jammed.

That, or at least the name should be changed :)
