It is a bit late to make this suggestion with an update around the corner, but here goes anyway. People complain about getting fuel to trucks. So why not make vehicles chargeable? There is already a battery item planned. It would make sense that batteries are permanent and charged up at the truck station instead of consumed while in transit like other vehicle power sources.

The charge does not have to be the most efficient way to power the vehicle, compared to turbofuel, let's say. It would just be a late game convenience that lets trucks work alongside trains. Example: ferrying items to a train station.

I know the devs are at least as smart as Elon Musk and can make this happen.

August 28th update: We've removed downvotes!
