[BUG] Explorer Vehicle's icon not showing on compass

I'm driving around today hunting for slugs and I notice when I hop off / exit my "Explorer" vehicle that I can see it's icon on the map, but it never shows up on my compass at the top of the screen anymore, even when I'm standing right in front of it.

Note: Staring directly at Explorer. No icon overhead on compass.

The icon gets removed when the autopilot is turned on. If you don't have a recorded path, you might not notice this.

Nope I did -NOT- have autopilot on. I would never have any reason to use autopilot on an Explorer. That's what Trucks are for.

Eventually this same Explorer has finally "Broken" to where it wouldn't reverse at all anymore, so I destroyed it and re-created a new one from it's parts and now it works and the icon shows up. Bear in mind.. I have had this explorer since last month IRL time and this current play through I have about 190 hours so far in it. I guess it was just some how not compatible with the current patch? I seemed to of fixed it on my own though.
