in Suggestion by (2.4k points)

From only watching people on YouTube, building points (switches) seems to be a struggle.

I'd suggest adding the following as standard building blocks:

  • Y junction
  • left  fork with one track going straight ahead
  • right fork with one track going straight ahead
  • K crossover (combination of previous two)
  • X crossover (with double-slip potential as a nice to have)

These sets of points would have to be able to snap to existing rails on all ends

These would, of course, be in addition to the current way of making a set of points by simply building the tracks together.

August 28th update: We've removed downvotes! One major reason is because we don't want to discourage folks from posting legitimate suggestions / reports / questions with fear of being mass downvoted (which has been happening a LOT). So we now allow you to upvote what you like, or ignore what you don't. Points have also been adjusted to account for this change.
Please use the search function before posting a new question and upvote existing ones to bring more attention to them, It will help us a lot. <3
