Let the driver Manual switch the train switches with A and D to choose directions(like Facorio)

would be a bit quality of life addition for us:)

This reminds me a lot of tram steering but would be very welcome.

This has been suggested a number of times - with the more intuitive (to non-Factorio players) A and D keys.

Also, the devs have stated *on this forum* that they are working on it.

I have discovered a trick for changing a train's direction when you are stopped on a grade.   Normally, after a timeout on a level spot, releaseing the key you are using for breaking (W or S) and pressing it again will cause you to change directions.  On a grade, releasing the brake allows the train to move.  You cannot get that pause.  However, once you get to zero on a slope, use the space bar as a brake, after a short wait the above trick works.

August 28th update: We've removed downvotes! One major reason is because we don't want to discourage folks from posting legitimate suggestions / reports / questions with fear of being mass downvoted (which has been happening a LOT). So we now allow you to upvote what you like, or ignore what you don't. Points have also been adjusted to account for this change.
Please use the search function before posting a new question and upvote existing ones to bring more attention to them, It will help us a lot. <3
