Switch arm behaves oddly with more than 2 directions at a switch

I tried to see how many tracks I could have branch from a single switch. With more than two on one side that side's switch arm (left of the tracks in direction of travel onto the switch works but looks wonky, picking extra indicator positions outside the usual positions. The switch also cycles through its options from right to left (counterclockwise). Adding more than one side to the other side of the switch creates a second switch arm, again on the left side of the tracks in direction of travel (curse the englishmen that developed the swedish rail system).

Could the odd multiposition switch arm behavior please be fixed?
