As it stands, Splitters will be split at 100%, 50/50 or 33/33/33 depending on the amount of connections. It would be very nice to be able to set a specific exits for a splitter to be a higher priority so that it will only split when the lane becomes saturated.

The same is also true for Mergers, it would be nice to set a priority so the other lanes will be paused unless there is a gap that the higher priority lane isn't filling.

Have you used the caterium splitter yet? It's in tier 6 or 7 I think. It should allow you to set rules if the description is right.

The smart splitter, and whatever the name of the other one is, only allows you to set the items per each exit. One of the splitters allows to choose one item per exit and the other splitter allows multiple items to be chosen and allowed through each exit.  It would be a great addition to the splitters if we could set priority or percentages per exit.....down the road we shall see if they throw it in the game i suppose.

no. this is not implemented yet. we have two types of "filter splitters" and the one described in the original post.
