Isn't the idea of the game is to automate & build a factory.  Hence SatisFactory, no?

Just click the craft button once, then press and hold Enter so it starts crafting. After that keep holding Enter and press Alt Tab. After this let go of Enter. The game will continue crafting in the background and you can go surf the web. Then go back to the game once your crafting is done.

It's a partial solution to your want for now.
