Make splitters and mergers easily attachable to each other and the in/out of buildings, without the need to place a belt in between of the direct connection.

Definitely need this option, as belts don't always connect when 2 spliiters/mergers are close to each other.

I like the idea, the issue is the multi input structure. While T1 assembler has 1 input and you may have access to 3 sides of a merger, the T2 would limit the sides to 2 and T3 even limits to 1 to the 2 center inputs.

A modular assembler could fix it, where you have the base strucuture, you can change the layout of the up to 4 inputs as you wish.

A tool to set which sites should be active (items can flow through) should be better than 3 different versions of each merger and splitter this would end up being way to much
