I want to have like 20 industrial containers with all intermediate products in them. I then want put down a manufacturer. Based on the selected recipe, I want to feed the required inputs into that manufacturer using a series of multiplexers (think programmable conveyor mergers).
Except I don't want to have to modify each programmable conveyor merger manually. I want it to work like a logical multiplexer in a logical gate setup, where the input is bits or a recipe from manufacturer. This is easy to do if every recipe is expressed using binary encoding... i.e. with 32 manufacturer recipes, the manufacturer outputs 5 logic lines. Then add a LUT in the programmable conveyor merger, or provide buildable logic gate blocks (like AND/OR etc.)
A cherry on top would be a flush function. Clear out glut in the conveyor belts when switching recipes, there should be a flush function where the manufacturer dumps erroneous inputs out a side tube.
Yeah, I'll keep dreaming I guess...
