Future plans for maps? (question for the devs)

So very short, but i was wondering if there is any future plans for either new maps, or to making a system that can make infinite maps (minecraft/factorio style). i know ofcourse infinite maps, with the amount of decoration and biome complexity etc. would be very difficult, but i was just wondering.

Nope. The developers have stated in the past already that there never will be any other maps, other worlds, ways to "cross worlds" to other maps, etc. None of that in this game. The map we have is the map we get.
