ISSUE : If you have two stacked belts with splitters immediately one above the other, it is possible to make a splitter not snap to the belt properly. It will in fact snap to the splitter below and not latch onto its own belt.

VERSION : Early Access 106504

1. Set up two belts, one above the other but running in opposite directions as shown : http://www.dcoffey.co.uk/images/satisfactory/SplitterStack01.jpg

2. Place a splitter on the lower belt as shown : http://www.dcoffey.co.uk/images/satisfactory/SplitterStack02.jpg

3. Prepare to place a splitter on the upper belt but off to one side and do not commit to build the splitter. Note the direction arrows are correct for the belt direction : http://www.dcoffey.co.uk/images/satisfactory/SplitterStack03.jpg

4. Slide the upper splitter along so that it is alligned with the lower splitter but keep the cursor well away from the lower splitter. At this point the upper splitter is still "floating" on its belt. Note the direction arrows are still correct. If built in this location and way the splitter will work as expected : http://www.dcoffey.co.uk/images/satisfactory/SplitterStack04.jpg

5. Once the upper splitter is in roughly the correct place, move the cursor downwards to allow it to "snap" to the lower splitter. Note the direction arrows have now reversed to match the lower splitter. If built here and with the upper splitter "snapped" to the lower one, the splitter will not function as expected because it is not attached to the upper belt any more : http://www.dcoffey.co.uk/images/satisfactory/SplitterStack05.jpg

TEST 1 : Place the upper splitter off to one side (or "float" it above the lower splitter without causing it to snap). Feed some objects onto the upper conveyor. The splitter will work as expected : http://www.dcoffey.co.uk/images/satisfactory/SplitterStack06.jpg

TEST 2 : Place the upper splitter on the belt and allow it to "snap" to the lower splitter in alignment. Place some objects on the upper conveyor. The splitter is ignored as it is not attached to the upper belt properly. All objects will pass right through without being split at all : http://www.dcoffey.co.uk/images/satisfactory/SplitterStack07.jpg
