Tools run off of biofuel, which is the only use for it after reaching coal energy, but the jetpack runs off of fuel from coal production. Having to carry around biofuel, an extremely early resource is kinda annoying and it doesn't really make sense that tools can't run off of fuel made from coal, but can only run off of fuel made from plants (or maybe it does and I dont know the difference in fuel types :)) either way, slightly annoying to have to carry around old resources that i've already surpassed in terms of advancing in technology.

In addition to this, having to hold on to my chainsaw while in my base just because i know the trees i previously cut down are going to respawn through my floors and walls, possibly blocking truck and walking paths, is quite annoying. Since wood isn't needed as a late resource, perhaps consider removing the tree respawn mechanic or at least prevent trees from respawning in areas that have foundations/walls/conveyors built

You actually can charcoalify wood I think if you get the right blueprint out of a hard drive. I don't know if that bug was ever fixed, but it was one of the blueprints I think.

yes there is a wood -> coal alternative.

I only use biofuel for chainsaw, and  if i need 30 seconds of power to open a drop pod, so carry 1  stack with me.

vehicles can run on a variety of fuel - i'd recommend...., FUEL, cos you can completely automate the process. and there's plenty available.

I honestly wasn't aware you could run the jetpack on coal - i've been using fuel the whole time as I unlocked it first.....

My coal still runs some generator - but i'm phasing this out in favour of fuel as i'm using the coal for steel production.

I carry 1 stack of biofuel, and 1-2 stacks of jetpack fuel when i go exploring (and a backup stack of crude oil for a) reserve fuel or b) plastic / rubber requirements away from home - i'm not sure i see a big issue here.

oh, and as to 'why?'  - id expect biofuel (like RealLife BioDiesel) and 'fuel' to both be combustible LIQUIDS - hence suitable for the chainsaw/tractor, rather than the combustible solid of coal which needs the space for boilers etc to work in a generator.  (unless u have a steam tractor / locomotive)

Not to mention now you have to carry both fuel and turbo fuel because vehicles can use turbo fuel but jet pack can't.  I guess you could sacrifice efficiency and fuel your vehicle manually if your using turbo fuel at truck stations. Man it is confusing too because turbo fuel and fuel have the same icon.

I was surprised to find out that the Jet pack is not able to use the turbofuel - just the fuel. This makes no sense in my opinion. Also taht the chainsaw is not be able to use fuel or Turbo fuel is a bit strange.
