walkways without foundation

Walkways is useful to climb up to higher place, but I need to attach it on foundation. It would be convenient if I can build walkways alone.

While Sioox is right that it only takes 1 foundation, if you're really that bothered about having your wakways starting in the floor then build a foundation, make a walkway then delete the foundation and you can just attach each new piece to the one before.
