While you are crafting from a crafting bench, the number of total items within your inventory will always be lower that the amount of items within the inventory.

If you get 3 items after crafting 1 time then the total displayed will be 3 less then the actual number of items within your inventory. If you get 2 items after crafting 1 time then the number will be 2 short, etc.

It would be helpful if you would upload screenshots to help explain cause I can't quite figure out what you're saying, or at least, I'm not sure.

Are you saying that if you have say, 40 items in your inventory then make make 1 craft of that same item when it comes up with the adding it to your inventory where mine then says 3 XXXX (43) to show that I just made 3 and my new total of that item is 43 that yours it saying 3 XXXX (40) ?

When you are not the host of a session the total showed withing the crafting bench will be x (in this case is x 1 as i get one resource when crafting this) lower the the total within your inventory. If I craft copper wire then the total is 3 lower then the amount of wire within my inventory, as i get 3 copper wire when crafting them once.

Note: this ONLY happends when you are NOT the host
